What is 482 Temporary Skill Shortage visa and how to apply for 186 Employer Nomination Scheme visa?

482 Temporary Skill Shortage visa is a work visa for up to four years. It was previously a subclass 457 visa.

There are three streams for 482 visa : Short-term, Medium-term, and Labor agreement. Australian employers can address local Labour shortages by nominating sponsored overseas workers with skilled skills.

Holders of the Medium-term 482 visa, who have worked for the same Employer for three years, can apply for the TRT (Employer Nomination Scheme) (Temporary Resident Transitional Stream), continue to work for that employer.

482 visa application condition:

Employer requirements:

* Legal business (either in Australia or overseas)

* Passed the Australian Labour market test

* Occupations to be nominated are on the 482 Occupations list

* Will be willing to pay the nominee annual salary (minimum AUD 53,900)

* Payment of SAF funds

* Demonstrate the authenticity of the job requirements

* Occupations to be nominated are on the list of 482 Medium and long-term occupations

* Willing to continue to offer a job to the nominee (more than 2 years)

* Will be willing to pay the nominee annual salary (minimum AUD 53900)

* Payment of SAF funds

Visa applicant requirements

* Under the age of 45 at the time of application

* Holding 482 while working full-time for the nominated employer for more than 3 years

* IELTS: at least 6 in each of the 4 components

* Meet health and character requirements
