Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa subclass 494 to Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) visa subclass 191

What is 494 visa and how to change to 191 visa?

Skilled Employer Sponsored Reginal (Provisional) visa is a five-year visa. This visa is officially published in 16 November 2019, previously as a Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (subclass 187) visa.

The sponsor for 494 visa must in regional area, the visa applicant must meet the English requirement (at least 4 in each of the test components for IELTS) in addition to have three years full-time job experience.

After working for the employer for 3 years and meeting the income and residency requirements, the 494 visa holder can apply for the 191 Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) visa.

494 visa apply condition:

For employer:

*The employer must be operating in a Regional area of Australia

*The position is genuine and approved by the local government RCB

*The occupation to be nominated is on the local remote area occupation list

*Will be willing to pay an annual salary that is not less than the local wage rate

*Pay SAF funds

Applicant requirements:

*Under 45 years old when you apply for visa

*Have at least 3 years of work experience related to the nominated occupation

*Passed vocational assessment

* At least 6 in each of the test components of IELTS

*The applicant must has at least 3 years of full-time job during holding 494 visa

* Spouse and children working, studying and living in regional areas

*Have sufficient funds to support yourself and your family in Australia

*Meet the minimum income requirement ($53,900)

*Meet health and character requirements
