What is 858 Global Talent visa?

On 27 February 2021, the Distinguished Talent visa became the Global Talent visa.

This is a visa for people who have an internationally recognised record of exceptional and outstanding achievement in an eligible field.

This visa is suitable for people who have an internationally recognised record of exceptional and outstanding achievement in some area. This areas include: profession, sport, arts, academia and research.

858 visa needs to be sponsored by a national repute organization or individual in Australia in the same field as the applicant. The visa application can be submitted both onshore and offshore.
