Core Skills Occupation List (CSOL) Announced
On 3 December 2024, the Australian Government introduced the Core Skills Occupation List (CSOL), simplifying skilled migration. Replacing outdated lists, the CSOL consolidates 456 occupations based on labour market analysis by Jobs and Skills Australia (JSA).
From 7 December 2024, the CSOL will apply to:
Skills in Demand visa (replacing Subclass 482 visa).
Employer Nomination Scheme (Subclass 186) visa under the Direct Entry stream.
Further details about related reforms, including the National Innovation visa, will be announced soon.
