In mid-2018, Mr. H consulted about Australia's investment immigration program. Due to his main business transitioning from operational industries to equity investments over the past three to four years, he was unable to meet the turnover requirement for the 188A visa. Based on the policy at that time, we recommended the 188B visa. Under the old 188 policy, only a $1.5 million investment in state government bonds was required to meet the criteria, with a lower capital commitment and higher security.
The 188B visa category is not limited to stock traders but is also suitable for entrepreneurs running businesses in China and those involved in equity and property investments. We submitted the application in November 2018 and provided three supplementary explanations to address the visa officer's inquiries. Finally, we obtained the visa officer's approval and were granted the 188B visa in early 2022. Throughout the entire process, we maintained transparent communication with Mr. H and successfully achieved the intended goal.
