Mr. Z was granted a 500 student visa after successfully appealing to the AAT.

2022-07-15

Mr. Z is a chef in Guangdong Province, China, with limited English. After coming to Australia on a tourist visa, I hope to study abroad to study a course. We helped Mr. Z choose a college to improve his English and submit a student visa application. Since Mr. Z did not have a high school diploma, it was difficult to find accepted schools. With our joint efforts, we finally got an admission letter from a school, starting with business college courses. After submitting the visa, the Immigration Bureau suddenly changed the requirements, requiring the applicant to have an English IELTS score to be approved. Mr. Z could not meet the requirements. We could only temporarily remove the subsequent college courses and only apply for the visa for the language study part. But because of the whole change process, the visa officer still refused the visa application.

We helped Mr. Z file an appeal application. Later, after the outbreak of the epidemic, there was a shortage of students in the school. It was agreed that Mr. Z began to study the chef course after his English was improved. After more than a year of waiting, when the AAT opened, Mr. Z had already started his chef course. We accompanied Mr. Z to the court, and persuaded the AAT arbitrator Mr. Z's real motivation and purpose of study, and finally got the student visa successfully. The seemingly simple process is actually our constant encouragement, continuous update of the policy and unremitting efforts, so that Mr. Z can get the hard-won student visa. It also created a good start for future chef immigration.
