VET Course Graduates or Dismissal Review Application for 485GW Visa
From July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023, the immigration department will temporarily remove the requirement of "nomination occupation on the occupational list and through occupational assessment" for VET course graduates. This means that until June 30, 2023, graduates of 92-week VET courses can apply for a 2-year Graduate Work subclass 485 visa without the need for nominated occupations and valid occupational assessments, subject to meeting other requirements of this category.
Basic Requirements for 485GW Visa:
Age: Under 50 years old
Hold a substantive visa or eligible bridging visa A or B
Have held a student visa in the past 6 months and graduated within the last 6 months
Reside in or outside Australia (with special exemptions during the pandemic)
Meet the two-year Australian study requirement
Qualifications relevant to a nominated occupation on the Long Term Skills Shortage List and through occupational assessment (temporary exemption mentioned in the previous paragraph)
Achieve an IELTS overall score of at least 6, with a minimum score of 5 in each band, or equivalent scores recognized by the immigration department
Have adequate health insurance during your stay in Australia
Pass health and character tests
Maintain a good visa record
